John & Liz K.
We picked up our 2017 Ford Transit from Quadvan just a few weeks ago. They converted our van to 4WD and added skid plates, Eaton Truetrac diffs, a rear sway bar, shortened the rear shock mounts, and trimmed the front wheel wells to accommodate 245/75-16 BFG A/T KO2 tires.
John, Adisa, and the entire staff were a pleasure to deal with and went above and beyond to be helpful. John answered numerous questions for us. It is clear he knows and understands his product. After we had the van back home and were noticing driveline vibrations, he took the van back and spent a day trouble shooting the issue and fixing it.
If you are considering a 4WD conversion, I would not hesitate to recommend Quadvan for the job!
John did a killer job. He is incredibly knowledgeable and very generous with his time, energy, and expertise. It’s been 3 years since he did our conversion. Several times we’ve had reason to call and ask questions about our 4×4 and he always takes time to chat with us about anything we want to know. Our van drives and handles really well and we are completely satisfied with the quality of work. We get compliments on our rig all over the country (and in Mexico) and we always say, “You could have one too. Go see John at Quadvan!”
I can’t say enough positive comments regarding John and the crew at Quadvan. So knowledgeable, incredibly patient to explain things, totally professional, and they go above and beyond the call of duty for their customers. I did a ton of research before coming to NW Quadvan with my 2005 Chinook Glacier RV and discovered that they have the reputation of being one of the top two companies in the USA who do these Ford 4×4 conversions. I now see why they are the top rated! The owner, John, took tons of time with me. His expertise, honesty, and generosity really stand out. He stored our RV until he could get it on the rack, helped me find a Warn winch for half price, and recharge my battery for free. There’s more to say, but I’ll close by saying that you will have no concerns whatsoever if you go with NW Quadvan.
Talking to John at Quadvan before, during, and after my van build, was the best buying experience of my life! Now, three months past the Quadvan two year warranty, I had locking hub problems. My mechanic called John, for some parts info and John insisted that he would be paying for everything! (about $600)
It doesn’t get any better than John and Quadvan.
This is the place to go if you want your rig turned into a 4×4! Had my 2000 Chinook motorhome done, and it’s great! John really knows what he’s doing and uses all new Ford parts, as well as high quality extras. Bumper, steps, lights, etc.!
The guys in the shop are super nice and very knowledgeable. The work was completed in record time. Strangers are stopping me on the street and taking pictures of my “new” rig!
Definitely recommend Northwest Quadvan!
We had John and crew convert our 2018 short wheelbase, low roof Transit to 4×4 in the fall of 2019. We live at 6000 feet in the snow, so the conversion has been awesome for driving in deep snow whiteouts, as well as exploring many remote backroads of the West in summer with confidence. Their service, both at the shop and on the phone, has been very thorough, friendly, and super helpful. John and his team are seasoned specialists in this niche field and know their stuff extremely well. I am happy enough with their products that I will be doing business with them again in the next few months.
Worth the drive from San Diego to Portland to get this done by someone that knows everything about 4×4 conversion. John, the owner, takes his time to talk to you and explain exactly what you are in for. I took my van off road in the mud and snow on the way back. Great fun and exactly what I wanted.
John McKee is a great guy and his work is SOLID!
Great company, great people!
